Using its strengths in defence, economic and climate cooperation, India is quietly making its moves in the western Indian Ocean region. This week, India engaged the Vanilla Islands – Madagascar, Comoros, Seychelles and Mauritius – by participating in an economic development meet in the strategically important Reunion Islands called “Choose Reunion”.
