The sensex scaled the 40,000 peak again after nearly five months on Wednesday. The surge came as foreign funds continued to buy and investor sentiment changed after the government, over the past few weeks. The session added nearly Rs 1 lakh crore to investors’ wealth with the BSE’s market capitalisation now at Rs 152.3 lakh crore.
