Concerns over shortage and high prices of onions were raised in Rajya Sabha on Friday even as the government blamed delayed and prolonged rains for damage of crops. Grappling to boost supplies, the government said state-run trading company MMTC was importing onions to check spiralling prices and the shipment was expected to arrive by January 20.
