Professor Giridhar Madras, who is among the top 1% of all scientists in the world for 10,000 citations, has been a long-time IISc faculty. He completed his BE in chemical engineering from Annamalai University in 1988, M.Tech from IIT Madras in 1989 and then did his Ph.D from Texas A&M University in 1993 before coming to IISc.
