Equity indices plunges on Monday with the benchmark BSE sensex down over 1,000 points as fears mounted that the global shutdown for the coronavirus could last for months. Sensex dived 1,032 points or 3.46 per cent to 28,784; while the broader NSE Nifty moved 285 points or 3.29 per cent lower to 8,376.
