Rs 5k cr heroin racket with links to Taliban busted

The heroin was embedded in jute strings that would be made into bags, which were then filled with spices, dry fruits to be exported from Afghanistan to India. The heroin was extracted from jute strings at a lab in Zakir Nagar, New Delhi. The case revealed how the international cartel was pushing heroin worth over Rs 5,000 crore into India under the cover of spice trade.
