The IMD has forecast intermittent rain with heavy to very heavy falls in Mumbai on July 9. It has also sounded a landslide alert in ghat areas, including the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, Malshej, Khandala, Matheran and Tamhini. Following the forecast, police commissioner Sanjay Barve tweeted on Monday evening asking citizens to take precautions.
