The police made elaborate preparations by informing the CM and the state police chief about how they plan to take the women to the temple. The Travancore Devaswom Board president, members and officials were not informed about the plan. They used either a tractor or an ambulance to reach till Marakkoottam from Pamba and they trekked to Sannidhanam from Marakkoottam.
