'Game of Thrones' reunion special is official — but it won't be on HBO

Even though Season 8 has yet to release, we're already starting to say goodbye to the show that turned into a cultural phenomenon.

The Game of Thrones reunion special shot in Belfast during this last season's production, which brought back long-gone actors like Sean Bean (Ned Stark), will release exclusively as a DVD extra for a Season 1-8 box setEW is also reporting that the set will release in 2019.
